TENNESSEE, January 11, 2016 — I find it funny how some of the same people that have threatened to kill my children, prayed for my death, called me a bigoted racist, as well as every other slur imaginable, take issue with me telling the president to “shove it” for brazenly, unapologetically shredding the United States Constitution. Here’s the thing. I’m thankful that people are willing to speak their mind about me. In fact, I encourage it (Although, I do wish they wouldn’t threaten my 5 young children all under the age of 7). Why? Because I’m not a politician, so I don’t believe in being politically correct. I’m just a small town farmer trying to feed his wife and children. You see, politicians fancy themselves to be above the common man that works to put food on his table. The ruling class believes that they are entitled to our respect simply by holding power over us. However, I know that respect is earned. Respect is not implicit, and it is certainly not guaranteed simply by holding a political office. To insinuate it is, would be a disgusting display of class warfare. My name is Andy Holt, not “The Honorable Representative Andrew Holt”. To all who would curse my name, I would much rather you present your honest feelings than ever worship a politician who has not yet earned your respect. Someday, I hope you call me “friend”. Until then, call me whatever you want. This is America. We do not worship politicians as royalty. We stand tall and proud against them when we must, and simply tolerate them otherwise. Have a problem with it? Shove it.
